1. Anyone wishing to book the Govan Gym, please contact the Town Office. If you have any questions or concerns on the operations of the gym please contact the Town Office(484-2011) or Wes Pearce (484-2025).
2. Christmas “Lite ‘Em Up” Contest – Reminder to everyone to decorate your house and property for Christmas. The Town will once again be sponsoring prizes for the top 3 winners. Judging will take place on December 19, winners announced at the Community Tree Lighting December 21. More information to come
3. The Govan Conference Centre (Town and RM Office) is accepting applications for a Janitor. Please contact the Town Office for more information.
4. Town/RM Office Christmas Hours: December 24 – Open 8:30 am – Noon December 25 & 26 – CLOSED January 1 – CLOSED
5. Town of Govan Council: Mayor Wes Pearce Councilors Craig Mortenson, Dustin Hilderman, Steven Trew, Kevin Kreutzer, and welcome newly elected Councilor Dwayne Steve.
6. The RM of Last Mountain Valley No. 250 wishes to welcome our new Councilor for Division 6 – Don Dabrowski.

participants in Govan’s Great Pumpkin Grow Off, we hope you plan to

GOVAN LIBRARY:
Not looking forward to wrapping you gifts this year? On Sunday, December 14, 2008 we are hosting a gift wrapping (donation applies) and bake sale. Mystery prizes to be won!
GOVAN CAP SITE:
On Sunday, December 21, 2008 the CAP Site is hosting an “Angel Tree” Lighting at the town gazebo. Available there will be hot drinks, treats, and more! Tree lighting is at 6:00pm. The tree stays lit from the 21st of December to the 1st of January.
Angel Tree Ornaments: With each purchase of your ornament you receive a light that will be added to the string of lights to be strung upon the tree. Your ornament bares the name of a loved one you’ve lost, these ornaments are to be hung in there honor.
Deadline for orders is Thursday, December 18, 2008.
