Reminders from the Town Office:

If you pre-pay your 2008 water and sewer by January 31 you will save 5%.

Dog Licences are now due for 2008. The cost remains at $15 per animal.
Please remember to be courteous and keep your dog on a leash or in a
fenced enclosure when outdoors. Also, there have been amendments to the Dog
Ownership Bylaw, if you have any questions or would like a copy please ask
at the Town Office.

2008 Business Licences are due. The cost remains at $50 for the year.
Please remember to verify that self employed contractors have a valid 2008
business licence before you hire them.
Govan Playschool
A warm hello to all within our community and surrounding area.
May everyone be doing well, as we start the New Year!
The Govan Playschool, received a 2008 Pre-School Play
Program Support Grant, in the amount of $200.00. We received this grant in
November of 2007, for the 2008 year.
We would like to thank The Govan Recreation Board, for informing of us,
about this grant. They provided us with the information and proper
applications, enabling us to apply for the grant.
We would also like to acknowledge the Last Touch Regional Recreation
Association, for approving our application, and Sask. Lotteries, for
providing these funds.
The grants we apply for and fundraising we do, enable us to continue to
offer a pre-school program within our community.
With these funds, we are able to buy our school supplies for the children,
take the children on field trips, and it also helps us with our other
expenses that occur in the operation of The Govan Playschool.
Thank you, also to the members of our community and surrounding areas, for
your continued support in our past fundraising.
All of you, along with The Govan Recreation Board, The Last Touch Regional
Recreation Association, and Sask. Lotteries, allow us to keep our
playschool in operation.

the $200.00 donation for the Govan Youth Curling Clinic.

Concerned Citizens of Govan has now amalgamated with First Responders and
will be known only as First Responders.
Proceeds and donations that First Responders have received have been
combined to purchase an A.E.D.

available!

The next Rec. Committee Meeting will be February 11th at 7:30pm in the
Govan Café.
The Rec. Committee is always looking for new members to join and anyone /
everyone is more than welcome to attend our meetings. We meet the 2nd
Monday of every month.

"Family Literacy Day Carnival"

Everyone Welcome!
Admission is $5.00 per person which will include a hot dog and a
drink.
Ages 3& under are free.
Activities will include: Games, Story Time, Crafts, Contests,
Puzzles, Food and Book Sale to name a few!

Govan Ski Wizards
9th Annual Vintage Snowmobile Races, Saturday, February 9, 2008.
Races will be held N/W of Govan with signage from both directions on
highway 20.
Registration 9:00am to 11:30am.
Races are to begin at 12:00pm SHARP.
